Process for expanding the scope of an existing payment institution licence
- Relevant for:
- 22 september 2017
Payment institutions are permitted to provide payment services for the activities they are licensed to conduct. If an institution wishes to provide additional payment services, it must apply for a licence through our Digital Supervision Portal.
If you are already a licensed payment service provider, you are advised to conduct an analysis of what expanding the scope of services entails for the operational management of your business. This analysis would for example include identifying the risks associated with expanding your activities, and how these risks can be adequately managed. This analysis can then be sent to your supervisor at DNB together with your request to expand the services you offer. Based on the information you submit, we can provide you with feedback in specific areas. We will also inform you about the next steps in the procedure, and proportionality considerations.Respond to this page
