We assess the fitness of candidates for trust offices based on the following points from the Policy Rule on Fitness 2012 (Dutch only).
- Executive skills
- Leadership skills in hierarchical relationships
- General and specific professional knowledge.
These skills and knowledge must have been acquired in a relevant professional environment over a total of at least two years, including a minimum uninterrupted twelve-month period.
The Policy Rule also states sixteen competencies, including independence, persuasiveness, cooperativeness, decisiveness, helicopter view and judgement. Different positions require different competencies. Candidates therefore do not need to possess all sixteen competencies.
