For several providers, the registration process will not be completed within the intended six months, despite the best efforts of DNB and the applicant. We understand that this raises the necessary questions. Our aim is to ensure quick completion of the processes where the applicant is able to meet all the requirements in the short term. We will discuss what this specifically entails for each provider on an individual basis.
The transitional arrangements crypto service providers will expire on 21 November 2020

On 21 May 2020 the Act Implementing Amendments to the Fourth Anti-Money Laundering Directive (AMLD5) entered into force. The transitional arrangements laid down in this legislation will expire on 21 November 2020. This means that crypto service providers falling under the scope of this legislation must then be registered in order to continue to provide their services.
